James Turner founded Abstract Construction.
1974
Bill Lawley with Swearingen Management Company was the first client.
1975
First full-time employee hired.

1978
Perry Pittman (retr Vice President) joined Abstract as a drywall laborer.
1979
Ray Turner, James Turner's brother, became an Abstract shareholder.
1980
Abstract built it's first corporate office on Ables Lane in Dallas, Texas.
1980
Bill Benton became an Abstract shareholder.
1980
Jimmy Phillips became the first full-time estimator.

1989
Residence Inn by Marriott was the first hotel project completed.

1992
Kelly Dilodovico, CFO, joined Abstract.

2001
Awarded Excellence in Construction by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. for the historical renovation of The Ashton Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas.

2001
Awarded Excellence in Construction by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. for the interior build-out of Intuit Software.
2002
Awarded Excellence in Construction by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. for constructing Granite 190 Center Building A.
2002
Completed the McCommas Eco Bluff Park project which was the first LEED project for the City of Dallas.

Completed the prominent Addison Arts & Events District project (LEED Silver), now known as Addison Circle Park.

2005
Awarded Excellence in Construction by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. for constructing Fellowship Bible Church of Dallas.

2006
Completed the finish-out project for Silver State Mortgage, one of the first tenants in the McKinney Green Building. This building is notable for being the first privately held LEED Platinum Certified structure in the U.S.

Brady Lowry, President, joined Abstract.

Moved into current office space in Carrollton, Texas.

Received LEED Platinum Certification for Huitt-Zollars project.

James Turner, the founder of Abstract, retired after 39 years.
